  • 12 fresh ripe figsĀ
  • 2 ounces fresh soft goat cheese
  • 1/4 cup chopped candied pecans or walnuts
  • 2 tablespoons chopped fresh basil
  • Honey for drizzling

Turn on oven broiler and place rack on second setting from top.

Prep figs by washing, removing stem if present and cutting in half through stem and bottom. Place figs skin-side-down onto a sheet pan. Separate goat cheese into 24 pieces and place one on each fig.

Place figs in oven until the figs are slightly warmed and cheese is melted - about 4-6 minutes.

Drizzle honey over each halved fig and top with candied nuts and basil.
