French Toast with Brown Sugar and Graham Cracker Crumbs

  • 1 cup graham cracker crumbs
  • 1/4 cup brown sugar, packed
  • 1/2 teaspoon cinnamon
  • 8 slices French toasting bread
  • 1/3 cup milk
  • 2 eggs, lightly beaten
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla
  • Butter for frying


Combine graham cracker crumbs, brown sugar and cinnamon in a shallow dish.
In another shallow dish, mix together milk, eggs and vanilla.
Melt butter in a large skillet over medium-high heat.
Place each piece of bread in egg mixture and then coat with crumb mixture.
Fry in skillet until golden brown on both sides, about 2 1/2 minutes per side.
