- 1 large ripe avocado
- Juice and zest of one large lime
- 1 teaspoon chili powder
- 1 cup buttermilk
- 2 tablespoons roughly chopped cilantro
- Salt to taste
Cut avocado in half, remove pit, use a spoon to scoop out flesh and roughly chop.
Combine avocado, lime juice, chili powder, and buttermilk in a blender.
Season with salt, and blend until smooth and creamy. Add lime zest and cilantro; pulse just to combine. Adjust seasoning to taste.
Will keep two days refrigerated. Use as a salad dressing, spread for sandwiches, or sauce for tacos or fajitas.
