- 6 cups peeled, sliced apples (about 2 -3 Granny Smiths and 1 Golden Delicious)
- 1/3 cup brown sugar
- 1/3 cup granulated sugar
- 1/3 cup flour
- 1/2 teaspoon cinnamon
- 1 tablespoon butter
- 2 refrigerated prepared (uncooked) pie crusts
Preheat oven to 400°F.
Place apples in a large bowl.
In a separate bowl, combine both sugars, flour and cinnamon. Mix to combine, then add to apples and mix to coat.
Spread into pie dish lined with one crust. Dot apples with butter, cover with top crust and seal edges. Cut 3 slits in top to allow steam to escape.
Bake for 10 minutes. Reduce heat to 350°F and continue to bake an additional 40-50 minutes; crust should be golden brown and apples bubbling.
